NU Dining is celebrating Body Acceptance Week with CAPS. Check out all the awesome things that are happening from February 16th through the 20th!
1. Body Affirmation Station
The Body Affirmation Station will teach you ways to love your body. Stop by to increase your awareness of media messages re: appearance and ways to incorporate positive body image messages into your life. Join in spreading messages about positive body image across campus.
Location: Sargent Dining Hall

2. Eat to Nourish
The body needs fuel and nourishment to live and thrive. Northwestern Dining’s Dietician and Chef will present on best ways to fuel up from day to day. Get insight from our nutrition experts for any of your nutrition-related questions. This event includes a fun healthful cooking demo.

3. Nurture Your Whole Self
Zumba with Colleen (6-6:35pm): A fusion of Latin and international music-dance themes, Zumba includes dynamic, energetic movement and easy-to-follow dance steps in order to produce a fun, uplifting experience.
Mindful Yoga with Emily (6:40-7:15pm): Through traditional yoga postures and breathing techniques, this class is designed to enhance internal awareness and self-compassion by connecting mind, body, and spirit. The pace of the class is moderate while a meditative, mindful approach is emphasized to restore inner balance.
All individuals, from beginners to experienced practitioners, are invited to attend either or both of these classes. Dress in comfortable clothes and bring a large towel or yoga mat, if you have one. A limited number of mats will be available at the workshop. Space is limited to 30 participants.

4. “You Are Beautiful” Arch
Chicago designer, Matthew Hoffman, has created a stunning and inspiring art installation to mark Body Acceptance Week at Northwestern. As do many of his pieces, the Arch will give passersby a powerful reminder: You are beautiful! Please stop by to see the installation and share your reactions with #NUbeautiful.
